About

For designer Anneke Allers, designing jewellery stems from a lifelong awareness and pursuit of creating beauty.

Originally from South Africa and trained as an interior architect, both of these aspects influence and inform her design aesthetic.

Anneke discovered jewellery making at the age of 17 and has always loved working with and making things with her hands. She graduated with a Masters in Interior Architecture and practiced for over 13 years as an interior architect in South Africa. During this time, she attended informal weekly classes at a local jewellery studio for close to 8 years.

After moving to Canada in 2016, she decided to change careers as she yearned to create beautiful objects with her hands. Anneke completed the Fundamental Jewellery Certificate at George Brown College in Toronto and launched Allers Atelier in 2023.

At Allers Atelier, designs are inspired by the wild at heart and pieces are created for those who adore unusual things. Anneke believes that jewellery has the ability to make the wearer experience beauty that is tangible as well as intangible.

All pieces are handmade by Anneke in her home studio located in Waterdown, Ontario.
